Biography:

Bruce is a Personal, Professional and Organizational Coach and Consultant with sixteen years of experience. President of Summit Strategies, an international Strategic Design and Planning firm, he believes that mastering the creative process—in life and work—is key to producing outstanding results in a rapidly changing world. He has coached individuals and executive teams since 1986 and developed a Power Coaching course for Victoria’s Peer Resources Group.

Bruce has nine years of post-secondary education and degrees in psychology, sociology, and education. He taught at the University of Calgary and Simon Fraser University. He helped establish the Banff Centre School of the Environment, and was a Faculty member on the Environmental Decision-Making for Manager's program. He was an Advanced Instructor for Robert Fritz, Inc.'s Technologies for Creating program, and studied Structural Consulting with Robert Fritz, founder of the field of Structural Consulting. He was the first Canadian coach/consultant certified to administer Peak Learning Inc.’s Adversity Response Profile, the most practical EQ instrument available.

Bruce founded the highly successful Yamnuska Mountain School in Canmore, AB. He also founded the Executive Seminars Division of One Step Beyond Worldwide in Canmore, AB. Together with OSBW, Summit Strategies ran challenging business and organizational retreat and team-building programs for executives, entrepreneurs, and professionals in Whistler and the Rockies.

Bruce lives simply and successfully on Saltspring Island where he does his best to practice what he preaches.
